Kybella is an injectable treatment designed to reduce moderate to severe fat beneath the chin and improve the appearance of the jawline and profile. It works by breaking down targeted fat cells, which are then naturally cleared by the body. Once destroyed, these fat cells can no longer store or accumulate fat.
What to Expect
Your appointment will begin with an evaluation to determine if Kybella is appropriate for you and to map the treatment area. A series of small injections is placed beneath the chin. Swelling is expected after treatment and can be significant, especially during the first few days. Bruising, tenderness, redness, numbness, or firmness may also occur temporarily.
